Family Activity - Time to Plant the Family Garden!

It's That Time . . . Time to Plant Your Garden!
We've checked the frost dates for Farmington,
as well as the J&L Planting Calendars and J&J Gardens Guide.
This is the schedule we came up with for you!
Watch for seed packets to be posted on the blog.
We will be posting the seed packets as they are
ready to be planted.
They may not be posted on a certain day of the week,
but we are following their calendar so that we get
the planting times right for you.
Now is the time to plant:
Beets
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Collards
Green Onion
Kale
Kohl Rabi
(I have no idea what this is, but it's to to plant it!)
Lettuce, Leaf and
Head Lettuce
Parsley
Peas - Pole and Bush
Potatoes
Purple Cabbage
Purple Onion
Raddishes
Red Potatoes
Rutabaga
Shallots
Spinach
Sweet Potato
Swiss Chard
Turnip
Yellow Onion
Remember to include the family!
This is a great time to teach an important life-long skill.
You may want to assign each child a row or a section of
the garden to be in charge of taking care of.
You may even want to have a contest to see who keeps
the best care of their spaces.
Most importantly . . . ENJOY the TIME SPENT
IN THE GARDEN WITH YOUR FAMILY!
