Ark Prep 101 - Part 5: The Basics of Food Storage!

Start with the Food Storage Basics:
(List #1)
Wheat
Powdered Milk
Oil
Salt
Honey or Sugar
Water
A storage room stocked with the basics will give you
the option of making:
Sprouted Wheat
Cracked Wheat
Tortillas
Gluten
Crackers
Bulgar
Hot Cereal
Wheat Treats
Wheat Flakes
Add these items:

Yeast
Baking Powder
Baking Soda
Powdered Eggs
Spices and Flavorings - Vanilla and Maple
Vinegar and Lemon Juice
Now you can make:
All of the items listed above as well as,
Custard
Pudding
Cereal
Crepes
Breads
Mayonnaise
Pancakes and Waffles
Cookies and Cakes
Muffins
Pasta
Biscuits
This list sounds a lot better to me, but you
have to start at the top of the list of BASICS
and go from there!
Add these items:

Butter Powder
Cheese Powder
Caned Tomatoes
Spices and Flavorings:
Italian Seasoning
Oregano, Peppers, Curry, Chili,
Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Cinnamon,
Nutmeg, Cocoa . . . etc.
Now you can make:
All of the items listed above as well as,
Pasta Dishes
Meatless Casseroles
Cream Sauces
Tomato Based Sauces
Desserts
Add these items:

Canned Fruits
Unflavored Gelatin
Canned Milk
Flavorings:
Almond, Lemon, Un-Sweetened Flavored
Drink Mix Packets . . . etc.
Add these items to the above lists and,
Now you can make:
Gelatin Desserts
Cream Pie Fillings
Creamy Desserts
Puddings
Smoothies
Baby Formula
Add these items:

Bouillon - Chicken, Beef . . . etc.)
Rice
Legumes, Soybeans
Chicken Broth
Seeds - Alfalfa, Sesame . . . etc.)
More Spices:
The more variety you have, the more you can make!
You've now added these options:
Soups
Meat
Rice Dishes
Fresh Sprouts
Chili
Refried Beans
Rice Pudding
Hot Broth
Add these items:

Canned Meats
Canned Vegetables
Dried Vegetables:
Potatoes, Onions, Carrots, Celery . . . etc.
Now you can make:
Dinners
Casseroles
Sandwiches
Hearty Soups
Side Dishes
Pasta Salads
Each list increases your food storage menu options!
Start at the beginning and continue through the lists,
adding a little extra each time you go to the store.
We have created a list for you to use as a reference
as you make your shopping list.
Here it is:
Remember:  Each time you build something, you have
to start from the ground up.
The first list may not have a lot of the things you love,
but it's an important place to start!
