Family Home Evening - For the Strength of Youth: Family and A St. Patrick's Day Treat!

Tonight's Topic is:
"Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved
when founded upon
the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Successful marriages and families are established and maintained
on principles of
FAITH, PRAYER, REPENTANCE, FORGIVENESS,
RESPECT, LOVE, COMPASSION, WORK
and WHOLESOME RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES"
("The Family: Proclamation to the World").
Here's the Lesson:
This Family Home Evening will show you the important
role of each family member . . . BY MAKING COOKIES!
Each ingredient is important when making cookies, and
without all of the ingredients, they just won't turn out the same.
Being a FAMILY is much the same.  It takes EVERYONE!
Each person brings different talents, abilities, and personalities
to help in building and strengthening their family.
It's important that we each do our part to make
OUR FAMILIES ETERNAL!
Family Home Evening Game:
Family Memory!
You will need:
Printed copies of the Cover
(You will need 1 cover for each picture.)
Cardstock
(Cut into 3"x4" size pieces.)
Family Pictures
(You will need 2 copies of each family member.)
Glue Stick
Instructions:
Each card will have a cover side
and a picture side.
Each picture must have a match!
Turn cards over one at a time.  If you get two of the
same picture . . . It's a Match!
If not, you have to turn the cards back over and it's
someone elses turn.
Continue playing until all of the matches
have been found!
I laminated the finished cards.
Here's the Family Cover PDF:

  3. Trish--M&M's are not listed as one of the ingredients in the Oatmeal chocolate chip M&M cookie recipe. Just wondering how much we need.

  4. I added the recipe for the Jar Cookie Mix. It wasn't on there before. It's the second recipe on the post. The first recipe is the one I used for the FHE Lesson Activity. (It makes a bigger batch.) This recipe only calls for chocolate chips. I just divided the amounts in half-1/2 chocolate chips, and 1/2 M&M's.
    Hopefully that helps!
