Ark Prep 101 - Emergency Door Alerts!

Emergency Door Alerts
are a great way to quickly check on the people in your
neighborhood after an emergency situation.
You will need 4 sheets of colored paper.
Each color has a specific meaning:
Green
Yellow
Red
Black
White
In the Event of an Emergency,
you will need to tape the colored piece of paper that
applies to your situation to your front door so that
it can be easily spotted from the road by
Emergency Personnel.
(They encourage using this specific system!)
Pages can be kept with your Vital Records Binder
or in an Entryway Closet.
Note:
For all of you WONDERFUL Food Storage & Preparedness
Leaders . . . This is a great way to start getting your
ward prepared for an emergency and a
SUPER EASY HAND-OUT!
Here's the PDF:
It's just in black and white so that you can print it on
the colored papers.
(This is just one of the many posts I have for you today!)
It's going to be a busy day!

  2. I just came across your blog too {i think i might have found it via sugardoodle's facebook link} anyway, ive been on it everyday, and I am OBSESSED! there are so many things I want to do--and it is soooooo NICE of you to have all these great PDF files for us to use for our families. Like The Wolsesy's I've had sort of delayed issues with the PDF links I usually have to click it a few times, refresh and then it usually comes up.
I am so determined to get my food storage in shape--Im saving up for a pressure canner so I can get to work! Thanks for so much inspiration and instruction!!!!

  3. I think the delays come when I'm working on new posts and uploading files. When I sign out, I never have a problem, but let me know if it continues.
    Glad to have you aboard!

  4. What agency did you get the color code information from? My husband is a firefighter and has never heard of this. It is a terrific idea! He is wondering about implementing it in our town. Love your blog! I can't get enough of all your great ideas!

  5. Kristen,
Thank You so much for bringing that up. I have seen this system at all of the Preparedness Fairs I have attended, and this system was one that we were given as a Stake.
My mom is about an hour away and they use the same system. I will do some more checking through the Emergency Departments to see what I can come up with.
Thank You Again . . . I want to make sure the information I post is correct!
