The October Newsletter is FINALLY Here!

 . . . What a Month . . .
Canning Season is a CrAzY time
at the Smith House!
October is flying by...I can't believe it's already
half way over!
My month has been filled with canning jars, fruit flies,
and the smell of the garden, which has covered my counter
for most of the summer months.
No complaints, just pure gratitude!
Thanks for being so patient!
Here it is...

My Ward is AWESOME!

I'm serious!
The sisters in my ward are
AMAZING!
We decided as an
Emergency Preparedness Committee
that we wanted to make getting prepared
more FUN without taking away
from the IMPORTANCE of it.
This is what we came up with....
Fasten your seat belts everyone,
you're about to see greatness!
Doom and Gloom
(Shown Below)
Has decided to cut off the water supply
causing a drought!
How will the citizens get the vitamins they need
to avoid the serious condition of SCURVY?!?
The Preparedness Heroes
are on the case!

Our focus for the month is SPROUTS!
(This should help explain the plot of the movie a little better!)
Enjoy!
We sure did!!!
And Special Thanks to our film editor CARA....You are my Hero!
Please Note that MODA
(Mother of Disaster Awareness)
has had no formal training and has never seen
Star Wars (Yoda) in action.
I'm sure you will find this shocking after such
a believable performance!

May 2012 Newsletter

The May Newsletter Is Here!
Wowie...Blogger loves to change things up!

so I apologize for the delay.
I think I have things figured out now....

Here's the PDF for My Stake:
For those of you who are not in my stake
and would like a newsletter....
This one's for YOU!

Here's the PDF for Prepared Not Scared:
The focus for the month is:
A 3-Month Supply
of
EVERYTHING!
It may take a lot of effort and sacrifice,
but I know that when the Prophets say to do something...
it is always for a very good reason!
Make it a matter of prayer and then follow the promptings.
You will be amazed at the peace that follows obedience!

Vital Records Bags.....Oh My!

A few months ago I found the
COOLEST BAG!
Stylin' Binders created a bag that is
PERFECT
for the Vital Records Binder.
I wanted to do a video to show
you just how amazing this bag is, but I
have absolutely no clue how to load it so....
A PICTURE is still worth a thousand words, right?!?
Here it is:
Picture
I used a 3" 3-ring binder and it's a perfect fit.
It has velcro sides that open so that
the binder will lay flat when in use and when you
need to take it with you, it's turns into an easy to carry bag!
The girls at Stylin' Binders even made a cover to
match my Vital Records Binder.
I LOVE IT!
Here's the Link:
Check them out....they're AMAZING!
This would make a great
MOTHER'S DAY GIFT!
Just think....
You'll be Prepared and Stylin'
all at the same time!
Thanks to...
Kelli Allmaras and Melissa Hamilton
for being willing to make a
binder cover to match the Vital Records Binder.
It's perfect!

P.S.
I'll add a picture of the one
they made to match the binder as soon
as I get my new camera!
