A House of Order . . . The Noble Knights Are Here!

'Tis said that a . . .
True and Noble Knight
Will Do His Duties
Without a Fight!
How could we have a Princess
without a Noble Knight?!?
The Noble Knight Chore Chart is the same
as the Princess and the Frog Chore Charts.
Just print the PDF file, laminate and attach the Knights
to tongue depressors.
Add their "Duties" to the tongue depressors.
Here's the PDF:
Hopefully this will help to "SLAY" the
Summer Chore Dragons!

Family Activity - Let's Go Fishing . . . Toe Fishing!

When was the last time you went
FISHING?

Good Times . . . HUH!
Never been fishing?!?
Don't Worry . . . It's a great adventure!
The first time we took our boys fishing,
WE DIDN'T CATCH A THING!
(We were Rookies after all!)
My son, Corey was a little sad about going home empty-handed,
so we decided to stop at the store and buy a whole fish
with eyeballs and everything!
Our plan was to take it home and cook it up so that all the boys
could have a taste . . . or at least that WAS the plan.
Once Corey saw the fish, he immediately started to cry and
decided we should just bury it in the yard so that it could be
ressurected!
(Did I mention the fishes name was BARRY!)
(Hee Hee . . . so stinkin' cute!)
It has become one of our FAVORITE MEMORIES,
and the tree we planted the fish by . . . grew like no other!
If the thought of fishing gives you a serious case of the
SHIVIES . . . Here's another option!
You won't need a fishing license for this Family Activity
and you won't be stinky by the end!
It's called "Toe Fishing"
and you can do it in your own backyard!

You Will Need:
Plastic Fish or Sea Creatures
(I found mine at the Dollar Store.)
A Plastic Pool,
Some Water,
and
YOUR TOES!
The Object of the Game:
Is to catch as many fish as you can
using only your toes . . . in 1 minute.
(Just a little bit of cheating going on in the picture above.)
The fish have to be thrown from the wading pool
with your feet.
Each fish found on the ground
after the minute is worth a point.
The WINNER
gets a bag of Swedish Fish as their Prize!
NOTE:
It's nice to have a buddy to hold on to when you're fishing
just for balance . . . We're not as coordinated as we were
in our younger years and without a buddy to hold on to,
Mom's most likely goin' down!!!
Yep, I know this one from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!
(Another great family memory!)
This is a great game to play at a
School's OUT, Party!
Have a great day FISHING!

A House of Order and FUN: The Princess Job Chart is HERE!

Princess Time!
I had to do a little Princess Research on this one.
I wasn't exactly sure what to do for a Princess Job Chart,
since I don't have any girls . . . but I think this will work.
It's put together the same as the
"Hop To It" Frogs, but instead of Frogs,
you get PRINCESSES!
It's called . . .
My Royal Duties
Princess Job Chart!
You Will Need:
The Princesses PDF
Tongue Depressors
Double Sided Tape
Chore Assignments
and a
Can . . . Castle!
Here are the Princess:
Princesses Royal Duties Instructions:
Print the PDF
Cut out the Princesses
(I leave a little bit of white around the whole princess . . . just for sanity reasons.)
Laminate
Use Double Sided Tape to attach the Princess and Job assignments
to the Tongue Depressors.
Cut out the Castle Picture
Laminate Castle Picture and Attach it to the Can.
That's All There Is To It!
Weekly Chore Card
Each day ALL of the chores are complete,
Your Little Princess will get a Star!
Cut, Laminate, and add Velcro to the back of the stars
and to the Weekly Chore Card daily squares below.
Decide at the beginning of the week what Privileges she will earn
with a completed card.
A completed card can be good for:
A Play Date with a Friend
T.V. Time
A New Book
or
Time with Mom and Dad.
Let your Little Princess help you decide!
Here's the PDF:
(Print as many Princesses as you like.)
The artwork and projects were created just for YOU . . .
Please send your friends back to www.preparednotscared.blogspot.com
if you want to share!
Thank You for being respectful of my time,
You're Awesome!

A House of Order and FUN: "HOP To It!" Chore Frogs

Summer can be alot of FUN and alot of WORK.
I will be posting several different Job Chart Options
during the next few weeks to help
you get ready for the Summer Break.
"Hop To It!" Chore Frogs
are a FUN way to get kids to do their jobs.

You Will Need:
Tongue Depressors
Double-Sided Tape
Mod Podge
Sponge Brush
2 Clean Soup Cans
Paint (optional)
and
A Copy of the Frog Jobs PDF
Here's the PDF:
(The labels included in the PDF above are for a larger can.)
I added more Label Sizes to a second PDF.
Here's that PDF:
(I'm trying to make it so that you can type your own JOB STRIPS
so hang in there a little bit longer on those!)
Cut out each of the frogs.
(I leave a little bit of a white edge . . . just for SaNiTy reasons.)
Laminate the Frogs.
Cut out the Chore Assignments.
Attatch the Chore Assignment Strips with Mod Podge
to the Tongue Depressors.
Make sure you leave room on the top for the frog.
You can paint the tongue depressors before you add the
chore assignment strips, if you would like.
Cut out and Laminate the Chore Frog Labels.
Attach 1 label to each can with double sided tape.
Attach a frog to the top of each tongue depressor with double-sided tape.
The Chore Frogs will start out in the "JOBS TO DO" can,
and as the jobs are completed they will
"HOP" into the "I DID IT!" can.
Mark the Weekly Job Chart each time they do ALL of their jobs.
(I laminated mine and I use a Wet Erase Marker to
mark completed jobs.  I just use wet wipe to clean it off so that it's
ready for a new week!)
Watch for another option with the Chore Frogs Tomorrow!
I'm working on a PRINCESS Job Chart for the little girls.
(I've never had to make one of those before . . . So Exciting!)
I will also be posting the
PREPAREDNESS PROJECT TODAY!
(I got the wrong color of thread
so it will take me a minute to finish it.)

A House of Order . . . and FUN: Time of Day Job Charts!

Time of Day Job Charts are Awesome!
The kids know exactly what jobs need to be done
and when they need to do them.
They have Morning Jobs or a Morning Routine:
They have Jobs they do After School or in the
Middle of the Day:
and
They have Evening Jobs or an Evening Routine:
Here's the PDF:
Job Chart Instructions:
Print the "Time of Day" PDF File.
Add Photos of kids doing each of their jobs
 to the white square,
or
Download this PDF and you can type your own
jobs in the white box and then print the file.
Here's that PDF:
Time of Day Small Chart PDF:
You will have two sizes to choose from.
I would use the larger size for photos for sure, but if
you are just going to type the jobs in the box the smaller
size is perfect for little hands.
Laminate Chore Tags.
Punch Hole in the Top of the Tag.
You can hang job charts on the fridge with the
magnetic hooks.
OR
You can use a Family Magnetic Board with the
same magnetic hooks.
You can get the hooks from Target, Walmart, or
Office Supply Stores.
You can also use a c-ring or ribbon to clip or tie
all of their jobs tags together.
As they finish each job, just flip to the next tag.
Each Day Jobs are Done
your kids can put an "X" in one of the squares.
When the chart is filled up . . . They get a REWARD!
Here's the Chart and PDF:
I laminated my chart and I use a wet-erase marker
to mark the completed jobs.
At the end of the month, I just wipe it clean with
a wet wipe.
If you feel like you need to give weekly rewards,
Here's a Weekly Chart for You to Print:
Thank You
for all your technical support!
I was hanging on by my last fingernail by about 3:00 am
trying to figure this thing out!
Bless Your Hearts Forever!!!
