10 Minute Evacuation...Could YOU Do It?

I was able to teach a Preparedness Class
to an AMAZING ward last night
and I mentioned this video...
10 Minute Evacutaion
Which family would best represent yours?
They have included a list of important things
to remember when making your plan at the end of the video.
Take some time during your next Family Home Evening
to make your Emergency Evacuation Plan.
Good Luck!

Just had to repost- this inspired me to go through our 72 hour kits yesterday. YIKES!! My oldest is 4 and we still had 18 month clothing in his!! I know I had 'planned' on going through them but I just kept putting it off! Thanks so much for inspiring me to get to work!

Love your blog! I'm a new reader. Please don't take this the wrong way, but when would you ever have a 10 minute warning to evacuate your house? Not trying to be rude, I just really want know. I would think if there was a fire or emergency, you'd just grab the important files (if time) and run.

Creed and Tiffany,
We actually had a 10 minute warning to evacuate a wild fire while we were in Cove Fort. We were able to grab not only the important files, but some clothing and a few of the basics as well. Everything around us was burned. I posted this video as a reminder of how important it is to practice what you would do in any emergency situation. Practice made all the difference for us in a very scary situation. Thanks for giving me a chance to explain!
