Bag Meal - Breakfast: Apple Cinnamon Pancakes!

Today's Breakfast Bag Meal
is also a Mix for . . .
Apple Cinnamon Pancakes!
Here's the Recipe:
3 cups All-Purpose Flour
4 tsp. Cinnamon
2 1/4 Tbsp. Sugar
2 Tbsp. Baking Powder
1 1/4 tsp. Salt
2 1/4 Tbsp. Powdered Milk
1 1/2 Tbsp. Powdered Eggs
3/4 cup Dried Apple Pieces
Mix all ingredients until well blended and place into a
wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar or 1 gallon-sized Ziploc bag.
To Make the Pancakes Add:
1 1/3 cup Apple Cinnamon Pancake Mix
*2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
3/4 cup + 3 Tbsp. Water
If you've used the pancake mix from the store, you've already
tasted powdered eggs and powdered milk.
Note:
For fresh ingredients:
You will replace the egg and milk powder
with 3/4 cup Milk and 1 Egg.
Do NOT add the water if you make this change.
Instructions:
In a medium bowl, combine milk, egg, and vegetable oil.
Whisk in Apple Cinnamon Pancake Mix
until moistened but still lumpy.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat.
Pour batter, 1/4 cup at a time, onto the prepared griddle.
Cook both sides until golden brown,

ok, I am fine with the small bottle of water and I guess I can accept the small bottle of syrup (except it is way more expensive that way and we ususally make our own anyway), but that canned butter is out of this world expensive!!!!

Are you actually rotating these meals or are they in the category of "I hope I never need this and will be glad to throw it away and start over in a few years"?

Or do you put the butter in the bag as a just in case and then use what you have in the fridge and move the can of butter to the next bag meal?

I hope this is not offensive. I just really want to know.

Thanks,

Gail

Gail . . . You are sooo right!
The butter is very expensive, but I am looking into a place that sells it for under $4.00.
I don't use the butter from my bag, I use fresh butter. When I refill the bag, the can of butter gets rotated for the next meal.
My bags are being used daily! I love how simple they have made meal time.
I buy my syrup at the dollar store so I don't mind having some in the bag, but you could add a second bag with the sugar and add some extra water so that you could make your syrup and still have everything you need for you meal in the bag.
To save money, I refill the bottles of water after I have used them.
Hope I answered all of your questions and Thank You for asking them. I try to get all of the information on the post, but I know I miss a lot of stuff.
