Mix Recipe #6
Molasses Cookie Mix!
Here's the Recipe:
1 1/3 cups Sugar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
1/4 tsp. Cloves
1/8 tsp. Allspice
1 tsp. Ginger
3 cups All-Purpose Flour
Layer the ingredients in the order given into a
wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar.
Pack each layer in before addiing the next ingredient.
Here's How You Make the Cookies:
1 Jar Molasses Cookie Mix
1 cup Butter or Margarine, Softened
2 Eggs, Slightly Beaten
1/4 cup Sweet Molasses
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream the butter, eggs and molasses.
Add the Molasses Cookie Mix and
Stir until the mixture is well blended.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes.
Transfer to wire racks to cool.
I'm a serious fan of Molasses Cookies, and this
recipe is really good.
