Mix Recipe #14: Devil's Food Cookies!

Mix Recipe #14
Devil's Food Cookies
This is one of the hardest mix recipes I've posted so far,
but I think you're ready for it!
Here's the Recipe:
1 - Box Devil's Food Cake Mix
That's It!
You may be wondering why you would even take
the time to put the cake mix into a jar, but . . .
By putting the cake mix into a jar, you will extend it's shelf life,
making all the effort of opening the bag and
adding the cake mix into the jar
WORTH IT!
To Make the Cookies Add:
1 8-ounce Container of Sour Cream
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Place jar of Devil's Food Cake Mix into a large bowl.
Add sour cream.
Mix on low speed with an electric mixer.
Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto a
lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
That's my kind of recipe!!!
Recipe:

Instructions:
Jar Label:
Jar Toppers:
Recipe Packet:
Here's the PDF:
I'm going to experiment with other
cake mixes and sour cream to see
what I can come up with.
If they turn out . . . You'll be the first to know!
Valerie still has my hard drive, so I can't add the
recipe cards yet, but it should be soon!

Does the mix need to be Devil's Cake, or would any other cake mix work, do you think?

This comment as nothign to do with the recipe but wasn't sure if you see comments on past posts. I have been trying to do the Fish in a bag game but can't find the plastic letter tiles. Do you know where i Can find them? I have looked at Wal-mart and Michaels. Any other suggestions.
Thnaks Again for all your hard work on this site.

Dede,
I'm going to try this recipe with some other cake mixes to see how they work.
I'll let you know. Please do the same if you
decide to give it a try!

Savages, (Sorry I don't know your first name!)
I just went on a hunt for some myself. I was sad to see that they no longer have them at Walmart, but . . . I did find some at Utah Idaho Supply. (A school supplies store.)If you don't have one near you, you can also use Scrabble Tiles. They work too!
Hope that helps!

Kate,
Thanks for the update on the cookie recipes.
I do have another recipe for some of the other cake mixes, using butter and eggs. I'll post that one too so you can see which ones you like best.
Can't wait to hear about the lemon!
