Mother's Day Mixes Recipe Book!

FINALLY!
This has been the longest day in history.
I've deleted my file twice,
helped my son breath after the computer shut down
in the middle of his tests, and did my best
to re-group after I burned 1/2 of the dinner!
(My family ate it anyway . . . I think they were a little scared.)
So, here it is:
Mixes to Meals
Recipe Book!

Here's a Picture of the Recipe Book:
Sorry it's not a very good picture . . . I've got some
serious glare going on.

Here's is a list of the recipes I included:

You will need:
1 Mini Plastic Photo Album
(I got mine for $1.00 at Walmart.)
Make sure you get the one's that have the slide
out cover pages.
1 Piece of Brown Cardstock
1 Printed Copy of the PDF File
That's It!
Each Recipe has two pages.
1 Page lists the Jar Ingredients and
the order they are put into the jar.
The 2nd page tells how to
prepare the recipe.
I put the brown cardstock behind the
front and back cover pages.
I used the last page to store the extra tags.
Jar Lid Covers are included in the PDF
As well as the Jar Tag Instructions
to include with each jar.
Here's the PDF:
(Be patient . . . it takes a while to load!)
Had a few typo's . . . but they're fixed now!
Here are the Corrected Recipes and
a Set of Smaller Tags:
Here is the Revised Recipes PDF:
and the
Mini Tags Example Page:
I attached the tags to the jars with double-sided tape.
Besides Mother's Day, this would make
a way cute gift for new mom's, for someone who is sick,
or for the
stinkin' cool sisters you visit teach.
Alicia Smith and Julie Dietz
I'm on may way!
(Call if you have a preference.)
Happy Mother's Day!
By the way . . .
Now that's PRODUCTIVE!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have one of those really hard to buy for moms, and while she does not cook very much, she loves emergency preparedness. I am going to put this together for her and bake her a batch of homemade bread. I know she will love it.

I love this and am so excited to have it. I want to check and make sure I didn't miss something. In the packet there are 2 Death by Chocolate Cookie (to make) recipes but for the Best Chocolate Chip Cookie you only have the Ingredients page and no (to make) page.

When I click on the pdf file, it says the file is corrupted. Is it just me? Thanks!

This is absolutely wonderful!! I can't wait to try some of the recipes. Thank you so much for your efforts!! On the Potato Soup mix, how much powdered milk? The recipe just says "2 instant dry milk."

Again, thanks for spending your precious time to help so many people!!

Dear Hamburger Helper and Betty Crocker-
I no longer need your boxed mixes. While convenient, they have many unknown ingredients. I now have "Prepared Not Scared" teaching me how to do your mixes instead!
Great ideas, ready to do. Thank you for your dedication and willingness to share it all. What a wonderful gift-for me-this will be!

Can I just say...........I LOVE YOUR BLOG SITE! I follow your site faithfully and love every minute of it - Thank You! I have a question on the Lemon Poppy Seed Cake Mix tag. You have 1 tsp vanilla extract down twice. Should one of those be 1 tsp lemon extract? Thanks bunches from a faithful follower in Idaho.

Oh my gosh I absolutely love your blog, you are an amazing woman! I do have a question about the jars for the mixes. Did you just glue on the labels or use something else? I have all my jars and ingred. to make my mixes but need to know how to attach to the front, love your ideas. Thanks for all you do and your blog!! It is awesome!

The David and Tricia Smith Family said...

Thanks Diana! You made my day :)!
I use double-sided tape to attach the label to the jars. If I know that I'm going to keep replacing the jar ingredients, I laminate my labels so that I can take them off to wash the jars. After they're dry, I just put them back on.
Hope that helps!
